A pre-wedding shoot in Trieste

A castle by the sea and the city in white

Couple forehead to forehead by the castle staircase

One afternoon, two looks. We started in the gardens and colonnades of Miramare Castle, walked down to the sea below the castle, and finished in the old streets of Trieste, both of them in white, laughing all the way.

About Miramare, Trieste

Miramare is a white 19th-century castle on a rocky point above the Gulf of Trieste, with marble colonnades, a terraced park and a small harbour. In a couple of hours you get gardens, sea views and grand architecture without ever getting in a car.

A pre-wedding shoot is the best way to get used to the camera before the big day. We talk, walk, laugh and change outfits along the way, and by the end it simply feels like an afternoon out together. Trieste is less than an hour from Ljubljana, so it is an easy trip for couples from Slovenia too.

This gallery shows a pre-wedding (engagement) photoshoot in Trieste, Italy, photographed by AlbumWeddings, a wedding photographer based in Slovenia, less than an hour away. It includes portraits in the gardens, colonnades and seafront of Miramare Castle and a relaxed walk through the old town of Trieste.

A relaxed session before the wedding, just the two of you. You get to know how I work, get comfortable in front of the camera and come away with photos for invitations, a welcome sign or simply for yourselves.

Yes. The park, the marble colonnades and the seafront below the castle give a lot of variety within a short walk, and the light over the sea is beautiful in the late afternoon.

Of course. Two or three looks work very well, for example something light for the castle gardens and something more casual for the city streets.
